Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 25 September 2026
These are the terms we work with you on: what we give, what you give, and what happens when the two of us disagree. The refunds policy is a section of it.
Who you are agreeing with
Tuevia is a software business in Egypt. Using Tuevia — opening an account, putting a card in the directory, or signing in to one somebody made for you — means agreeing to what is on this page.
You can reach us at support@tuevia.com, or on WhatsApp or an ordinary call at +20 101 898 3555. We answer within one working day.
What Tuevia is, and what it is not
Tuevia is two things. It is software an academy or an instructor uses to run their teaching — students, classes, timetables, attendance, coursework, certificates and fees. And it is a public directory where a learner can find them and ask to join.
It is not the teacher. We do not run classes, set fees, mark work, decide who is admitted, or issue certificates. The academy does all of that, and a learner's agreement about their teaching is with their academy and not with us.
So a disagreement about a lesson, a mark, a refund of an academy's own fees, or a place in a class is between the learner and the academy. Write to us and we will help where we are able, but we are not a party to it and cannot decide it.
Accounts
An account belongs to one person. Give real details, keep the password to yourself, and tell us if you think somebody else has it. What is done from an account is treated as done by the person it belongs to.
There are three ways to have one. An academy's staff have accounts in their academy. An instructor teaching alone has their own. A learner has their own, which is theirs and stays theirs whether they study at one academy, several, or none.
An academy can also issue a student a username for the student portal. That is the academy's to create and to reset, it works only at that academy, and it is not the same as the learner's own account.
A new account is asked to confirm its email address. An account still unconfirmed after seven days is deleted. That deletes the account and nothing else — an academy's record of that student, and their marks, attendance and certificates, belong to the academy and stay with it.
Children
A learner under eighteen gives a guardian's name and phone number when they sign up, and it is the guardian who is agreeing to this page on their behalf.
An academy enters children's details as part of running its teaching. It is for the academy to have the right to do that and to tell the families it teaches. We treat everything about a student as belonging to them and to the adults responsible for them.
What an academy is responsible for
The information an academy puts into Tuevia is the academy's. We hold it on their behalf and act on their instructions. The academy is the one who must have the right to hold it, must keep it accurate, and must decide which of its own staff can see what.
An academy is also responsible for what it writes: announcements, notes on a student, the description on its card, and anything it uploads. If it is unlawful, untrue or somebody else's, that is the academy's to answer for.
What it costs
A learner pays nothing. The learner's application is free to create an account on and free to use, and there is no paid tier behind it.
An instructor teaching on their own pays 600 EGP a month. An academy pays 2000 EGP a month, whatever number of branches, staff or students it has.
Both prices include VAT where it applies, and neither has a setup fee, a per-student fee or a minimum term.
Paying, and renewing
The first month is free, for every academy and every instructor, and no card is needed to start it. A free month you decide not to continue simply ends, and you are billed nothing at all.
After that a subscription is paid a month at a time, by card, through Kashier, our payment processor. You add the card in Settings → Billing, agreeing there to be charged every month until you cancel; it is then charged automatically when each month ends. You type the card on Kashier's page, and Tuevia never sees or stores its number. You can replace or remove the card, or cancel, at any time in the same place.
A card that is refused, a card removed, or a subscription cancelled means the month is not renewed, and the subscription lapses at the end of the period already paid for, which the section below describes.
Refunds and cancellation
Within fourteen days of your first payment you may ask for a full refund, and you do not have to give a reason. Write to us and we will return the whole amount to the card or account it came from. The free month does not use those days up: they start when you first pay, not when you sign up.
After fourteen days a payment already made is not refunded. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and your academy keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for.
If we take a payment in error — a duplicate charge, or a renewal after you cancelled — we refund it in full whenever we find out, with no time limit.
To cancel, write to us. There is no notice period and no cancellation fee, and nothing is switched off early. Your data stays yours: ask before or after cancelling and we will export it for you, or delete it — whichever you want.
Moving from an instructor's plan to an academy's takes effect at once and you pay the difference for the rest of the month. Moving the other way takes effect at the next renewal, so nothing you have already paid for is taken away mid-month.
We send a refund within three working days of agreeing it. How long it then takes to appear is your bank's, and is usually between five and fourteen days. Refunds go back to the card or account that paid, and we cannot send one anywhere else. Prices and refunds are in Egyptian pounds; if your bank converted the payment it converts the refund at its own rate on the day, and that difference is the bank's.
This is the whole of our refunds and cancellation policy, and it is also published on its own at tuevia.com/refunds.
If a subscription lapses
Nothing is deleted and nobody is locked out. An academy whose subscription has ended can still read everything it has — students, classes, attendance, marks, certificates, fees — and can still export it. What stops is writing: no new students, no new sessions, no changes, until it is renewed.
Being locked out of your own student records on renewal morning is an emergency; not being able to enrol anybody until you renew is a conversation. We chose the conversation.
A plan can also carry a limit on how many staff an academy has. Reaching it refuses the next person added and disturbs nobody already there.
The public directory
An academy can put a card into the directory for free, with no account. The card shows the name, whether it is an academy or somebody teaching alone, its categories, its city or that it teaches online, a description and a logo. The email address on the form is never shown — it is where we write to you, and it is what proves the card is yours.
A card is published the moment you press publish, and it cannot be edited afterwards, which the form warns you about before you do. A card whose email is not confirmed within seven days stops being shown. A card can later be claimed by the academy it names, and a card whose name clashes with somebody else's is never simply handed over.
Free cards appear below paying academies in the same search. A learner who finds a card can ask to join, and the academy is told somebody asked — never who.
We can take a listing down if it is not what it claims to be, if it is somebody else's, or if it is being used for something other than teaching.
Certificates
A certificate is issued by an academy, not by us. We print what the academy says and record who it was issued to.
It can then be checked at a link the holder may share, which shows the name, the course, the academy and the date, and nothing else. An academy can withdraw a certificate at any time, and the link then says it was withdrawn. We do not vouch for what a certificate claims about anybody's learning — the academy that issued it does.
What you may not do
Do not use an account that is not yours, or let somebody use yours. Do not try to reach data belonging to another academy, another learner or another instructor. Do not probe, break or work around the way Tuevia decides who may see what.
Do not copy the directory wholesale, whether by hand or by machine. Do not upload anything harmful to a computer, and do not upload or write anything unlawful, abusive, or that you have no right to.
Do not use Tuevia to contact learners who are not yours. Do not resell, rent out or re-badge the software.
Your content, and ours
What you put into Tuevia stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it and show it to the people you intended it for — the academy's staff, a learner and their guardian — and to nobody else. A card you published in the directory is the one thing you have asked us to show publicly.
Tuevia's own software, design, name and logo are ours. Using Tuevia does not give you a right to them beyond using the service as it is meant to be used.
The features that use artificial intelligence
Two features send data to Google's Gemini, and no others do. When an academy imports a spreadsheet of students, the column headings and up to ten sample rows are sent so the columns can be matched to the right fields. When an academy asks for a sign-in name to be suggested for a student, that student's name is sent so it can be written in Latin letters.
Both are single requests, both produce a suggestion an academy reviews before it takes effect, and nothing is sent for training. Nothing about a person is decided by a machine: no mark, no place in a class, no acceptance and no refusal.
What we promise about being available
We run Tuevia on one set of servers in one region and we keep it working. We do not promise a percentage of uptime, and we do not offer automatic credits when it is down — promising a number we cannot hold to would be worth less than saying this.
We take backups, and they age out within thirty days. If something is broken we say so, and if an outage costs you something, write to us.
Tuevia is provided as it is. We keep improving it, and a feature may change or be replaced; where a change materially affects how a paying academy works, we tell them before it applies.
Ending an account
You may stop at any time, and the section on cancelling says what happens to what you have.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks the rules above, that is being used to harm somebody, or that the law requires us to. We say why, and we give notice unless the reason is urgent. If we close an account for a reason that is not yours — if we stop offering the service, say — we refund the unused part of what you have paid.
Where responsibility ends
We are responsible for Tuevia working as described here, and for what the law does not allow us to disclaim — including our own fraud, and harm to a person caused by us.
We are not responsible for the teaching itself, for fees an academy collects from its students, for what an academy writes or uploads, or for a decision an academy makes about a learner. Where the law allows a limit on anything else, ours is the total you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
A learner pays us nothing, so for a learner that limit is nil — which is the honest consequence of a free account and worth saying plainly rather than burying.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change we will say so on this page and date it. A change that materially affects a paying academy is sent to them by email before it applies, and continuing to use Tuevia after that is agreeing to it.
The law, and disagreements
Egyptian law applies to this agreement. If something goes wrong, write to us first — almost everything is settled that way and faster. If it cannot be, the courts of Cairo decide it.
If a part of this page turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands.
